Amazon.com: Say no more. Barnes and Nobles: This site provides many ebooks available to purchase on line. It is mainly geared toward adult readers. Editech: An online site of free ebooks for children. One feature of this site, you can download the books, so teachers or parents can begin to create a personal e-book library. Electronic library: This is a site to search for electronic text online. Candlelight Stories: This site had engaging graphics that would appeal to kids. It was easy to navigate within the site, however it was slow to load. It had a page with sound stories however: you had to JOIN this site. The sight provided you with limited free stuff, but at every page it reminded you to join and you get more stuff. It provided links for free downloads of free e-books. Lil fingers: This site was geared towards toddlers and pre-schoolers. It had simple graphics and colors and was easy to navigate.There were different activities on this site , all geared toward little kids. There were coloring activities, that could also be printed out and simple early cognition games (cause and effect/matching). The site also provided approximate age levels of the activities on the site. There were several outside links to sites that were geared to kids, and also to parents and teachers. Ipublish at Time Warner Books: This site provides many ebooks available to purchase on line. It is mainly geared toward adult readers. Peter Rabbit:If you are a Beatrix Potter fan, you have to check out this site; however it may not be accessible to everyone. This site will definitely be a "shared reading" activity. |
